This is Ikea, really?! The new collection SINNERLIG by Ilse Crawford for Ikea was unveiled during Stockholm Design Week (note for myself: attend next year!) this week. These things do not look like mass products at all. Simple but thoughtful. Lots of emphasis on natural materials and neutral colour. Ecofriendly production is just as important as the economic potential. Ilse Crwaford says about the collection: „It’s supposed to work in a bathroom in Mumbai as well as a kitchen in Neasden, it has to fit into people’s lives.“ That is what I call global thinking. And I think that is what the nearly 30 pieces do: they fit into any home.

Unfortunately we have to wait till august for these beautiful things to be available in stores (in Sweden) and (hopefully!) online…
